Berentemmer is a Belgian beer of high fermentation. The beer is brewed at the Maenhout brewery in Meulebeke . It is a dark brown beer with an alcohol percentage of 7%. Berentemmer was launched in 2011. On the label is a young lady, the hallmark of the Maenhout beers, riding a bear. The name “Berentemmer” refers to Meulebeke, which is known as the bear community because it bears a bear in the coat of arms.
