Beer has a dark colour. This is a mixture of about 10 different indigenous herbs. The name of the beer refers to abbot Adelardus II of the Abbey of Sint-Truiden (1055 – 1082). He built, among other things, the abbey tower and converted the abbey church into a huge church.
