Description
Goliath Christmas is a high fermentation fermented beer, refermented in the bottle. It is a fairly dark amber beer. The moss is off-white, quite abundant and persists on the edges of the glass. On the nose, we find the flavors of yeast, malt and spices. On the palate, malt and hops blend with hints of anise and liquorice. At the end of tasting, the bitterness develops more and more. During the fourth weekend of August, Ath vibrates to the rhythm of tradition and folklore. On Saturday, after his wedding celebrated on the occasion of vespers, the giant Goliath, affectionately called “Gouyasse”, confronts the shepherd David in singular combat. The next day is a procession, composed of several giants dancing to the sound of fanfares, floats and picturesque groups, which crosses the city. Dating back to the Middle Ages, this tradition, still very much alive, has been enriched over the centuries.
